The clear water even reaches a maximum of 56 meters in some of the sea’s southern parts. the country also enjoys approximately 2,800 hours of sunshine annually, making the coastline of Croatia one of the sunniest in the whole European continent.

Blue Flag awards have also been given to a total of 80 beaches in the country. The label is given to the world’s beach beaches for their high safety standard, sustainability, and quality. Brac Island’s Zlatni Rat is a stunning sandy beach with a pine forest bordering it and is dubbed as the best recognized in the country. The beach also has one of a kind phenomenon as its shape changes constantly according to the direction of the wind and the waves. 

The archipelago of Croatia is also the biggest in the Adriatic Sea. The largest inhabited islands out of its 1185 islands are Hvar, Brac, Korcula, and Krk.
